About Open Polytechnic courses

Courses are designed for asynchronous (self-paced) independent learning. They are textbook-independent and based on a series of topics that align to a consistent learning design model. Courses are designed to provide a narrative scaffold for ākonga within a deliberate overall course structure, and to provide a steady study workload.

Courses are white-labelled, that is, course materials aim to make no mention of the authoring institution.

All iQualify courses are developed by expert teams, including subject matter experts working with learning designers supervised by a principal learning designer.

 All courses have undergone:

  • SME (Subject Matter Experts) peer review
  • Bicultural and Pasifika review
  • Sign-off by a principal learning designer.
  • Full copyright compliance.

Take a look at the Qualification and courses pages on the Open Polytechnic website to see all the programmes and courses currently on offer.
